Icon Management System

PROJECT: Cloud-based software company needed to organize a large and growing icon library. MY ROLE: Take an existing Adobe Illustrator master icon file and organize it even further, adding artboards for newer icons that had been created as needed by different designers but not yet incorporated in the file. Make it easier to search within the master file for an icon. Create a layer for blue icons and duplicate and recolor it for white icons. Layers could be turned on and off for desired export settings – two different colors and multiple file formats (PNG and SVG). Arrange icon artboards by similarity to help when visually scanning for a particular icon. Create a non-printing layer for searchable keywords. Name artboards for automatic file-naming upon export. The layered and keyworded Illustrator file and exported icons were the final deliverables.
